SUSTAIN Eurocluster launches the 2nd open call aimed at Go-to-market solutions
The consortium of the SUSTAIN Eurocluster project has this week opened the second call aimed at providing financial support to SMEs in the development of new products and innovative services that allow them to address the challenges of sustainable construction. This second call, which has a total budget of 450,000 euros, is looking for solutions that are in the demonstration or launch phase (Go-to-market), including prototyping, large-scale product validation or technical consulting. The call will remain open until August 27, 2024.
This type of calls (Open Calls) are funding opportunities that the SUSTAIN Eurocluster project makes available to its partners so that SMEs in the sector may promote innovation projects in the field of sustainable construction using disruptive technologies.
Therefore, the submitted proposals must be aligned with some of the most relevant technologies that are changing the state of the art in the construction sector. Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (AR/VR), Building Information Modeling (BIM), Energy Efficiency Certificates (EPC), Energy Management Systems Buildings (BEMS), the Internet of Things (IoT), and methodologies or tools for the renovation of Positive Energy Buildings (PEB), are the technologies that these projects must predominantly have in order to be eligible. All of them will have to be properly coupled with the Smart Readiness Indicators (SRI), a series of variables that measure the capacity of a building to optimize energy consumption or adapt its performance to the needs of the occupant as well as the electrical network.
On the other hand, and unlike the first call, the second Open Call is aimed at projects with a higher state of maturity. Specifically, it looks for projects in launch phase with a TRL of 7-8, which include projects in the pilot, prototyping, demonstration, testing or product validation phase.
Each organization interested in participating can apply individually or as part of a consortium, with each proposal having a maximum budget of €30,000.
The deadline for sending applications is August 27, 2024. Those interested must send proposals through the Open Calls portal.
